Well it seems due to some issues with the hosting company, alot of the database news entries were lost.I'm working to see if i have an old backup somewhere with more recent news to toss them up.

Zyris photography donated over $500 in services to the Two Wheel View auction held by Guest-Tek Interactive. The auction raised a grand total of over $1300.00, great job Guest-Tek.

Today, a friend of mine was doing the unthinkable, racing his mountain bike down a ski hill, with JUMPS! It was a cold night, and after a long evening of shooting the awards ceremony was pretty entertaining. The photos can be seen here.

I had a great opportunity to go to this tattoo parlor with one of my friends and take some shots. This shoot has inspired me to possibly hold a tattoo exclusive shoot soon. The pictures are available here.

Many people have asked me why the pictures on the site look so jaged and distorted, and some say that it reflects badly on my work. Ive deicded to clear this up, all of the photos on this site are limited to 800x600 and medium jpeg quality, why you may ask? Well its simple, all of the shoots im doing until January 1st 2007 are free, and my hosting account is currently set to the highest i can afford at the moment, therefore for to prevent bandwith overcharges the images are compressed by the Zyris Core Engine, to roughly 75% quality.

Well yesterday's scheduled photo shoot went pretty well, the turnout was okay. At the end of the night, mostly thanks to Mandy P, we did another shoot and that was a great experience! At one time I believe the convoy of cars on deerfoot hit around 25. Well the pictures are up, and can be seen here

Ive decided its time i started shooting more than just the occasional car. Thanks to some help from a friend of mine this next shoot is of the U of C hockey team playing the U of A. You can view the shoot here

So the latest photoshoots were taken at one of my friends basements, hes a huge Oilers fan, and i guess just wanted to get some pictures of his stuff. This set isnt my best work, but i think i got a few good shots, you can see the pictures here

So after sitting around for a while being bored out of my mind, I decided to be productive and take a few shots. The results can be viewed here, Deadly Projectile Weapons I call it. I’m thinking of doing a series of these shots, changing the weapon class, maybe get a tank or two in the next one.

So last week i picked up the Canon EF 50mm F/1.8 lens. I didn’t get a chance to use it until Saturday, and I must say, it’s a pretty decent lens (photo). There are some minor focusing issues in low light, but if you’re using manual it’s beautiful I think I’m going to be doing some model based shoots for winter.

Well after about two weeks in development, i finaly had the time to sit down and finish the site. And here it is, theres just one section (contact) that hasnt been compleated but that should be up fairly shortly.

Today, i went and did some shots for the U of C student newspaper, it turns out some of the shots i took got published. Pages 8 and 45 have some shots that i took. Check it out here
